The Folks Behind the Blueprints

We're not your typical suit-and-tie architecture firm. Our team brings together years of hands-on experience with a genuine love for creating spaces that work for real people.

Lead Architect

Elena Kytheron, M.Arch, LEED AP

Principal Architect & Founding Partner

I've spent the last 15 years figuring out how buildings can give back more than they take. Started this practice because I was tired of seeing cookie-cutter designs that ignored context and community. Every project's a chance to prove that sustainable doesn't mean boring, and modern doesn't mean cold. Got my start renovating heritage buildings in Montreal, which taught me that the best new architecture respects what came before it.

These days, I'm obsessed with how we can make urban living more human-scaled again. You'll usually find me sketching on site rather than stuck behind a desk.

Marcus Quintavix, M.Arch, OAA

Design Director & Founding Partner

My background's a bit unconventional - started in industrial design before switching to architecture, which probably explains why I'm always thinking about how people actually move through spaces. Can't stand designs that look great in renderings but fall apart when you try to live in them. Spent five years working on residential projects across Scandinavia, which completely changed how I think about light, materials, and honestly, just quality of life.

I believe the best architecture should feel effortless, even though getting there is anything but. My role here is making sure we're not just solving problems, but creating spaces people genuinely want to be in.

Design Director
Senior Architect
Sarah Brennan

Senior Architect, OAA

Sarah's the one who makes sure our wild ideas actually work structurally. Ten years doing commercial projects means she's seen it all and knows how to navigate code requirements without losing the design intent.

Urban Design Lead
David Chen

Urban Design Lead, MCIP

David thinks about the big picture - how our buildings fit into neighborhoods and cities. His urban planning chops keep us honest about creating developments that enhance rather than dominate their surroundings.

Interior Design Specialist
Priya Malhotra

Interior Design Specialist

Priya's got an eye for detail that borders on supernatural. She handles everything from material selection to furniture layouts, making sure interiors feel cohesive and actually livable.

Sustainability Consultant
James Okonkwo

Sustainability Consultant, LEED AP

James is our sustainability guru who keeps us on track with energy modeling, material life cycles, and all the technical stuff that makes buildings truly green rather than just greenwashed.

Our Studio

Come by the Studio

We're in the heart of Toronto's design district. Coffee's always on, and we love meeting in person when schedules align. Just give us a heads-up so we can make sure someone's around!

Our Approach to New Projects

We're pretty selective about the work we take on - not because we're snobby, but because we want to do right by every client. That means taking the time to really understand your needs, your budget, and what success looks like for you. First conversation's always free and informal. If it seems like a good fit, we'll put together a proposal that outlines scope, timeline, and fees. No hidden costs, no surprises down the line.

We work collaboratively from day one. You're not just handing things off and hoping for the best - you're part of the process. That said, we'll also push back when we think there's a better way. Good design comes from honest dialogue.

Frequently Asked Stuff

These are the questions that come up most often in initial conversations.

Honestly, it varies a ton depending on scope and complexity. A residential renovation might take 3-4 months from concept to construction drawings, while a new commercial build could be 8-12 months. Permitting adds time that's mostly out of our hands - Toronto's planning department moves at its own pace. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated as things progress.

We typically work on a phased fee structure - you're not committing to the whole project until you've seen our initial concepts and know we're the right fit. First phase is concept development, then design development, then construction documents, then construction administration. Each phase has a fixed fee that we agree on upfront. For smaller consultations or feasibility studies, we do hourly billing. We're transparent about costs and won't nickel-and-dime you.

Yeah, we've done projects across Ontario and occasionally beyond. For anything outside the GTA, we just build travel costs into the proposal. We prefer projects where we can visit the site regularly, but we've made remote work happen when the project's right. Location matters less than whether we're excited about the work and feel like we can add real value.

We don't treat sustainability as an add-on or a certification to chase. It's baked into how we think about every project from day one. That means passive design strategies, material selection based on lifecycle impacts, designing for longevity and adaptability. Sometimes the most sustainable choice is renovating what's already there rather than building new. We're honest about trade-offs and help you make informed decisions that align with your values and budget.

Absolutely. We've got solid relationships with builders and trades we trust, and we're happy to help you vet contractors and review bids. During construction, we offer administration services - site visits, answering contractor questions, reviewing shop drawings, making sure what's being built matches what we designed. It's worth it to have someone watching out for your interests and catching issues before they become expensive problems.
